Duties:Assist with various production tasks for the music and interview program World Cafe. Load music for daily broadcasts. Set up initial edits of recorded sessions in Pro-Tools (digital audio workstation). Edit instrumental music beds. Write artist biographies and summarize interviews. Archive and catalog past sessions. Assist with recording live performances including load-in, setup, and breakdown of microphones and audio gear. This internship provides an understanding of the production process for a nationally syndicated public radio show and provides an opportunity to learn the basic principles of recording and editing interviews and music.
Qualifications: Candidate must have computer skills and an interest in technology. S/he must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and ability to work under deadline pressure is needed. A desire to explore a career in radio is a plus. Familiarity with public radio programming and audio equipment is highly desirable
