For our Latin Roots segment today Judy Cantor-Navas, an editor for Billboard Magazine, joins us once again to present some new music coming out of Cuba. Seems that the easing of the cultural embargo with the U.S. has had some major results allowing artists and their music to travel more freely out of the country. Judy plays a couple of examples of how that can be good for the music in Cuba as well as in the rest of the world. We'll hear the original version of one track that Enrique Iglesias has a hit on around the world while the original remains the popular version on the island. Also music from Diana Fuentes, a Cuban living in Puerto Rico.
As usual there is more so don’t forget to check out other new Cuban tracks on
Judy's Spotify Playlist.
