The Lone Bellow

Hear the Story of The Miraculous Physical Recovery That Lead to The Lone Bellow's Unexpected Debut

April 29, 2013 - Unexpectedly hailing from Brooklyn, New York is The Lone Bellow, a country-rock trio whose members have long resided in the roots of the South.

However, this unlikely location has only proved to be beneficial for Zach Williams (vocals), Kanene Pipkin (mandolin and vocals), and Brian Elmquist (guitar and vocals). Already, the band has garnered attention from The New York Times, Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, Paste Magazine, and other notable media critics. This is due largely in part to the release of their debut album, The Lone Bellow, this past January. Recorded on the Lower East Side, the sound is that of pure country straight from the heart of Nashville. The single “The One You Should’ve Let Go” is just one of the many lyrical, soulful and foot-stomping, tracks on this album. The Lone Bellow is a testament to the great potential of this new group of talented artists. LISTEN to the live performance of The Lone Bellow on WorldCafe.NPR.org!

This show originally aired on March 13, 2013.
