Moon Taxi

Nashville’s Moon Taxi Grows Their Unique Indie-Prog-Jazz-Folk Style On Their New Album Cabaret

You might be tempted to call our Sense of Place: Nashville guests today Moon Taxi a jam band if their instrumental excursions were not so concise and well thought out. That comes from years touring and listening to each other and to the audience in the crowded clubs they frequent. The 5-piece band formed at Belmont University in Nashville and released their debut Melodica in 2007. Their second studio album Cabaret came out last year. In this session they join us for an intricate live set and to discuss what makes Nashville’s indie music scene special. For videos, a photo gallery, audio, an interactive map and other web extras go to Sense of Place: Nashville.
