He sang in workingman’s clubs and got a break in the early 90’s when Van Morrison heard him singing and invited him on tour as a backing vocalist. In the 2000’s his present management discovered him busking and brought him to America where his 2006 album People Gonna Talk received a Grammy nomination. His new record Minute By Minute
(credited to include his band The James Hunter Six) was produced by Daptone Records Gabe Roth and may be the best example of his sound yet.
