Eels New Wonderful, Glorious Starts A New Chapter For Mark Oliver Everett

April 19, 2013 - The last few years have found Mark Oliver Everett of Eels doing more than a bit of summing up. That includes an autobiography "Things the Grandchildren Should Know" and releasing an anthology of the band’s past work.

All this while putting out an inter-related trilogy of new albums. When it came time to make Wonderful, Glorious there was no over-arching concept beyond it including the band in songwriting (but not, of course, in writing the lyrics.) Today Mark and his stellar set of fellow Eels will interpret the new album live and we’ll get more of the story.
