May 16, 2013 - Sallie Ford and The Sound Outside’s music was raw and forthright right from the beginning with their initial EP and the album Dirty Radio in 2011.

The Portland based band captures the energy of early ‘50s music, be it blues and country which is why they were often called a rockabilly band early on. Sallie’s performances are big fun but you never forget you are listening to an artist at work. Her second album Untamed Beast doesn’t step back from the edge in any way and she has written some great new songs. The Cafe’s Michaela Majoun is on hand to lead us through conversation with Sallie Ford and a rough and rowdy performance from The Sound Outside.
