Fitz and The Tantrums

Fitz & The Tantrums Continue To Defy Genres On New Album More Than Just A Dream

May 24, 2013 - The Los Angeles band Fitz & The Tantrums broke through in 2011 with their debut Picking Up The Pieces. The undeniable songs and a truly exciting live set led them to festival appearances that had them called the “hardest working band of Summer 2011.”

The band formed when LA studio engineer and musician Michael “Fitz” Fitzpatrick gathered friends like fellow vocalist Noelle Scaggs to perform songs written following a breakup. The core of the band gathered again in 2012 to record the wide ranging follow up More Than Just A Dream with the mandate that nothing was off the table. The result is a genre defying album of pure pop as we’ll hear in today’s live set and conversation with the Cafe’s Michaela Majoun.
