Aisha Burns: From Violin Femme to Singer Songwriter Debut

July 22, 2013 - If you Google Aisha Burns you might just end up on a website devoted to female string players called Violin Femmes. That is because she is best known as the violin player in the chamber folk band Balmorhea.

Over the last couple of years Aisha has been doing something completely different: writing songs and playing them on guitar. There is a delicate intimacy to her debut for Western Vinyl called Life In The Midwater.
