Lissie

Worth The Wait: Lissie Takes Her Time Making Her Second Album

August 1, 2013 - When Lissie stopped by he World Cafe for her session a month or so ago she hadn’t even named her new album yet.

For the record it is now called Back To Forever and is out next month, three years after the release of her popular debut Catching A Tiger. Lissie’s music has been continually evolving from her more folkie beginnings. Now, after touring behind her first album for a couple of years she has become more than comfortable wielding her Telecaster with her band. The new songs are observations: what will people do for stardom on early single “Shameless,” the patterns we get into on “The Habit.” Every time we see the unpretentious Lissie we think bigger things are around the corner. So far, we’ve been right.
