Sir Paul McCartney Talks About His New Album New And So Much More

October 18, 2013 - Paul McCartney’s new album New is kind of like a Beatles record in that it is all over the place stylistically, just like The White Album.
Paul joins us today to talk about the disc but also to tell us little bit about what is was like back in the Beatles’ day. We’ll also discuss making his mostly home recorded first solo album and what it takes to keep his own creative flame burning into his 70s. For me the centerpiece of our conversation surrounds the song “Early Days” which tells about running with John Lennon in the beginning. But it also explores what it is like to not own your own history, to have people constantly telling you what happened in your life. A fully engaged Paul McCartney is a joy to talk with today.
