Our Sense Of Place Toronto Begins With The Multi-Talented Basia Bulat

November 6, 2013 - Our first guest for our Toronto Sense of Place is Basia Bulat the folkie singer-songwriter who grew up in Little Poland on the East side of Toronto.
Her new album is called Tall Tall Shadow. It is a departure from the two she has previously released including the Polaris Prize nominated Oh, My Darling. She has moved beyond folk on her new one. The disc was produced by the team of Tim Kingsbury (from Arcade Fire) and Mark Lawson (who won a Grammy for Arcade Fire’s Suburbs). Today it’s a solo set with four different instruments on the four songs including autoharp and the charango. We also find out about Basia’s favorite parts of Toronto.
