Sense of Place: Toronto with Michael Hollett of NOW Magazine and NXNE Festival

November 6, 2013 - For 32 years, as editor and publisher, Michael Hollett has guided NOW Magazine as a reflection of the music culture in Toronto.
When we talked with him on our Sense of Place visit we found him to be a font of information about the past and present. He told us about the changes since the 80s both musical and even geographic as clubs moved further west in the city. Michael explains how the NXNE Festival has grown since its days as an offshoot of Austin’s SXSW to continue to reflect and enhance the Toronto music scene more than ever.
