Laura Veirs Rich Musical Weave On New Album Warp & Weft

November 12, 2013 - Laura Veirs has been one of our favorite singer songwriters since her trio of albums on Nonesuch starting with Carbon Glacier in 2004.
She now records on her own Raven Marching Band Records. Laura is from the Pacific Northwest, and lives there with her husband, producer Tucker Martine, and their kids in Portland, Oregon. Her previous album was a children’s record called Tumble Bee and now comes Warp & Weft. It is indeed a rich tapestry of music and ideas recorded with musicians ranging from Jim James, kd lang, Neko Case, and Brian Blade to members of The Decemberists. Laura joins us to take us through the album.
