Sense Of Place: Toronto – Celebrating Ten Years of Arts & Crafts With Kevin Drew And Jeffrey Remedios
November 13, 2013 - Today for our Toronto Sense of Place series we talk with the guys behind Arts & Crafts Records - Jeffrey Remedios, formerly of Virgin Records, and Kevin Drew, co-founder of Broken Social Scene.
The music company was originally created in 2003 to self-release and manage Broken Social Scene's album You Forgot It In People, but they soon branched out to projects of the individual artists involved with the band. Currently they are releasing many other indie artists from The States such as the new Moby and Deer Tick albums. Stars, Jason Collett, Feist, Apostle of Hustle, and Valley of the Giants were among the first to put out albums on Arts & Crafts in 2003.
