June 26, 2013- Stephen King, John Mellencamp and T Bone Burnett join host David Dye in the studio. The horror author, populist songwriter, and accomplished producer combined their talents to create the musical Ghost Brothers of Darkland County.
Thirteen years in the making, it had its premier last August in Atlanta and now the CD and DVD version are being released. On the recorded version the story is brought to life by an amazing set of vocalists: Elvis Costello, Roseanne Cash, Sheryl Crow, and Neko Case, among others. King, Mellencamp, and Burnett share what it was like to take on creating a musical about murder and Mellencamp discusses how the story started in his own backyard. Plus, Jamie Lidell who recently released his self titled fifth album. The British singer talks about finding the soul in electronic music and what he has learned living in Brighton, Berlin, and now Nashville.
