Tom Jones

August 14, 2013 - Tom Jones started his enviable career as a hit maker with 1965’s “It’s Not Unusual.” Now, decades later, he has turned to well respected producer Ethan Johns to help craft some of his best work. For their second effort together, Tom Jones and Ethan Johns moved to contemporary songwriters like Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits.
Jones discusses their work, as well as looks back over his career including his early meeting with Elvis Presley and the childhood illness that started him down the path to becoming a performer. And Charles Bradley. Discovered by Daptone Records at the age of 54, it still took this vocal powerhouse nearly a decade to create his 2011 debut. He is back with his 2nd disc called Victim of Love and shares the sweet story behind the single “Strictly Reserved For You.”
