World Cafe: Next - Galway’s Dott Play “Grunge In The Nicest Possible Way!”

December 10, 2013 - Our World Cafe: Next artist this week is a brand new band from Galway, Ireland called Dott.
The music on their debut album Swoon is garage rock with chugging jangly guitars out front and the lead vocals of Anna McCarthy on top. Sometimes the other two women of Dott, Laura Finnegan and Miriam Donahue, chime in on harmonies. Tony Higgins plays drums. They started playing together in January of 2012. The best description we found of their sound is “grunge in the nicest possible way!” We will play two from Swoon that you can download with our World Cafe: Next podcast.
