Don’t Call Him St. Nick! It’s A Nick Lowe Christmas!

Don’t Call Him St. Nick! It’s A Nick Lowe Christmas!

Our holiday guest today, Nick Lowe, has been making records since the 1970's. First with pub rockers Brinsley Schwarz and then he made his name at Stiff Records as a producer and artist. His song "What's So Funny About Peace Love and Understanding” was a huge hit for Elvis Costello and recorded by many others. In the 1990s he went through a life style change and began recording in a distinct new style different than the power pop of his earlier discs. He has developed a whole new following for his sly, adult, country tinged records. His new Xmas record Quality Street: A Seasonal Selection for All the Family fits that category. We’ll hear the songs live and find out how Nick Lowe got the Christmas spirit.
