The Decemberists

Vintage Cafe from 2011: Hear Why We Still Love The Decemberists’ The King Is Dead

January 6, 2014 - The Decemberists have been on hiatus for quite a while now. So much so that the non Colin Meloy members of the band have their own group Black Prairie.
We love this band together and that is why we picked the session from their last album The King is Dead from 2011 to feature for our Vintage Cafe today. At the time of it's release the album was celebrated as a return to straight ahead folk rock, not a thematic record as The Crane Wife or Hazards Of Love.

Session Setlist
Calamity Song
Down By the Water
Rise to Me
This is Why We Fight
