Bear in Heaven

Bear in Heaven Shawn Brackbill

Bear in Heaven spent the winter trimming down -- from a four piece to three -- and stocking up, releasing their third album, I Love You, It's Cool, this spring. To promote the album they posted the entire LP on their website, but not before slowing the audio down 400,000 times.

At its original tempo, their music is at once ambient and energized; the Brooklyn band has a sound that resonates. Synthy waves and poppy rhythms swell and pulse through an electric lens, riddled with jazzy hints of frontman Jon Philpot's Atlanta upbringing.Through the line-up shift, new release and supporting tour, Bear in Heaven are hard at work, but there's nothing they'd rather be doing.
