Joey Ryan and Kenneth Pattengale have a way of creating one voice out of two that evokes comparisons to The Jayhawks and makes their music all the more mesmerizing. Acoustic, soothing, and full of balladry, the signature Milk Carton Kids sound is nothing short of mesmerizing.
The Milk Carton Kids are nothing if not inspired. In fact, they were a World Cafe: Next artist just last September, and now they're back in studio with a full-length interview and performance on their latest, the aptly named "Prologue."

Given how "Prologue" was released for free online and downloaded by tens of thousands (including World Cafe's David Dye), it's little surprise that the album itself jives very well with the duo's live performance reputation.
