Girls strikes the careful balance of creating music that sounds classic without writing something that's already been done. From their first album, "Album", Girls has been writing and recording music that is familiar, urgent and surprisingly simple.
The new album, which came out in September, features love songs like "Honey Bunny" and ballads such as "Vomit." In addition to new romances and new experineces that are poured into the tracks, there is also a new sense of maturity to this album. Girls has been touring nationally to support "Father, Son, Holy Ghost" and has released a number of retro-themed videos, as well.
