March 17, 2014 - Our guests on the Cafe today for Saint Patrick's Day are in many ways an Irish supergroup. Called The Gloaming and consisting of fiddler Martin Hayes, producer and singer Iarla ÓLionáird, fiddler Caoimhín ÓRaghallaigh, Dennis Cahill and New York pianist/producer Thomas Bartlett aka Doveman, they released their self-titled debut earlier this year. Without having played as a group the members first met at Grouse Lodge in Ireland and the songs and their identity emerged. We will hear them playing live from Dublin.
