This is a Vintage Cafe with singer-songwriter Ryan Adams from 2011 when he had just released the album Ashes & Fire. Ryan had taken a couple of years off between recording his last record with The Cardinals and this one. At the time that was an unusual move for the prolific singer-songwriter, though he did put out a vinyl-only metal record called Orion. He also spent some time relearning how to play guitar after a serious hand injury. Ryan has never sounded better than in this Cafe session.
