Felice Brothers

The Felice Brothers Ramshackle Charm

June 24, 2014 - Our guests today, The Felice Brothers, are back with a new album. It’s their 5th and it is called Favorite Waitress. We will hear a live set from the stage of World Cafe Live and James Felice will talk with the Cafe's Michaela Majoun. James now leads the band with his brother Ian, original member Simone Felice has a new solo album out as well. The Felices grew up making their hard to define folk influenced music in the Catskills in New York State, originally in the backyard at family gatherings. They headed to the city and played in the New York subway. Eventually getting on stage and making an impact at festivals around the country including a World Cafe Campground Stage appearance at the Philadelphia Folk Festival in 2008. Their ramshackle mix of folk, R&B, wit and All-American country story-telling has just gotten better over the years.
