Chrissie Hynde

Chrissie Hynde No Longer A Pretender? She Releases Stockholm Her First Solo Album

Chrissie Hynde has always been a Pretender. In fact she has made it an issue that whatever band she plays with it is The Pretenders and not a solo project. Until now. She has recorded her first ever solo album called Stockholm. She tells us it’s not really a solo album because she travelled to Sweden to make the record with Bjorn Yttling of Peter, Bjorn and John and a lot of collaboration ensued. The two hit it off musically and even got two unlikely guitarists to stop by, Neil Young and tennis legend John McEnroe. Chrissie has a great band with her even if they aren’t called The Pretenders.
