Our guests today Field Report recently released their second album Marigolden. The band is the work of Wisconsinite Chris Porterfield. The band’s name is an anagram of his last name. Before beginning Field Report Chris was in the band DeYarmond Edison with Justin Vernon but stayed at home in Milwaukee when the band relocated to North Carolina (all before Vernon recorded as Bon Iver). Porterfield subsequently discovered his own subtle and still powerful gift for songwriting. Today we will hear performances from the stage of World Cafe Live and Chris and I will chat.
