We explore the rock and pop side of the Lafayette, Louisiana music scene today. Although locally the music world is dominated by Cajun and Zydeco music there have been some pop breakthroughs. That includes our World Cafe: Next artists for our Sense of Place: Lafayette series, Royal Teeth. Lead by twin front people Nora Patterson and Gary Larsen, the band formed in Lafayette and are now based in New Orleans. They released their debut in 2012 and Glow last year. We will hear a brand new song, “Rich” in our session today. Check out our video of it.
