Tight Soul From Houston’s The Suffers

Our studio has rarely been as crowded as it is today with the 10 piece Houston band The Suffers. They are a soul band with a tight rhythm section and horn parts that are inventive and immaculately played. Then there is the amazing Kam Franklin out front. She started singing ska but ends up being perfect for The Suffers with energy and chops. The ska thing helps explain how they got their name from the seventies reggae film Rockers. The band’s 4 song EP is sort of a calling card - it’s the live performances that got them on Letterman and here too!
