Best Coast - that's Bethany Cosentino and her band partner Bobb Bruno - are back with a new album, California Nights, that expands on their care free lo-fi beachy rock. In fact that seems to be the point with California Nights, to allow themselves to head into some uncharted areas. We find out that although Bethany's insomnia may have kept her up at night, it was the California sunsets that proved to be the major inspiration for the album. We will hear a set recorded at the recent NonCommvention of public radio people in Philadelphia.
