How Sam Outlaw Got Ry Cooder To Produce His Debut

Sam Outlaw. It's an improbable name. And he has an improbable story and it’s all true. Sam's debut album is called Angeleno and Sam is from Los Angeles. The name “Outlaw” is actually his mother's maiden name. Sam had one of those change-my-life moments when he decided to leave his job as a digital advertising sales person and pursue music full time. Today we'll hear the story of how hiring drummer Joachim Cooder for demos led to Sam Outlaw having Joachim’s father, fellow Angeleno and roots music legend Ry Cooder produce his debut.
