We reach back to 2009 for our Vintage Cafe session with DeVotchKa with music recorded at World Cafe Live and conversation with leader Nick Urata. At the time the band had just released A Mad & Faithful Telling which turned out to be their most successful album. Their music had also been showcased in the Academy Award winning film Little Miss Sunshine and the band had also recently released an album of covers called Curse Your Little Heart. Their latest album, recorded in 2012, was live with the Denver symphony. We will talk with Nick Urata and hear some special performances and discuss everything from Southwestern and Gypsy music to Frank Sinatra.
