The Weather Station

The Weather Station Yuula Benivolski
The Weather Station’s First US Album Loyalty Is A Quiet Masterpiece
Canadian artist The Weather Station, led by Tamara Lindeman, has gotten an extraordinary amount of praise for the new album Loyalty. Critics and radio people often compare new female singer songwriters to more famous ones who share some characteristics. People like Kate Bush or Patti Smith or Joni Mitchell are often used archetypes and just as often the comparison are overblown or not particularly accurate. So it is with great care that I join those who have compared our guest today Tamara Lindeman to Ms Mitchell. It is the quality and the clarity of her lyrics mostly. She tells us of the time she spends crafting her lyrics and it shows. An exquisite session with an extra web-only song.
