Django Django

Django Django Follow-up Their Surprisingly Successful Debut With Born Under Saturn

Our live guests, the band Django Django, have a new album called Born Under Saturn. It is the follow-up to their 2012 self-titled debut. The band, who met at Edinboro University in Scotland and later reconvened to form the band in London, were surprised by their first album’s success with the critics -it was nominated for the Mercury Prize- and by its popularity. While the first album featured creative input from only two members of the band, drummer David Maclean and guitarist Vincent Neff, this new album was much more of a group collaboration with input from all four members. How did that approach work? We’ll hear in our session today.
