The Asheville, N.C., music scene is more than just Americana. The city also has a healthy funk presence, represented by groups like The Get Right Band, a trio made up of Silas Durocher (guitar and vocals), Jesse Gentry (bass and vocals) and JC Mears (drums and percussion). The Get Right Band released its latest album, Bass Treble Angel Devil, in 2014. The group recently brought the energy of its live show to the studio for a session World Cafe recorded as part of our Sense Of Place trip to Asheville.
