Boot & Saddle rides again: the intimate south Philadelphia music venue and restaurant is reportedly getting a new lease on life (and business), according to a report in the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Mark Christman of Ars Nova Workshop — promoters of jazz, improvised, and experimental music concerts around Philly — told the Inquirer that he and Evan Clancy of South Philly eatery / drinkery Fountain Porter have signed on to operate the space at Broad and Ellsworth, “but do not yet have firm plans about the concept or timeline.”
Details are sparse in general — they’ve said the name is staying, they say, as is the neon sign — but whatever the case, we’re hopeful that we’ll see live music in its western-themed walls once again, especially after its mid-pandemic closure.
