Houndmouth Artist To Watch - June 2013

Houndmouth, XPN's Artist to Watch Houndmouth, XPN's Artist to Watch
What’s not to like about Houndmouth? They’ve got it all - a little roots, a little rock, a little soul and some great songs.

A four piece folk-rock group with a soulful flare and an amazing layered sound, Houndmouth hails from Albany, Indiana.

Band members Katie Toupin, Matt Myers, Zak Appleby, and Shane Cody all like to sing – and they often like to sing together, layering vocals on top of heavy bass lines and skillful guitar riffs to create unique, toe-tapping songs. The group releases its debut album From The Hills Below The City on June 4, and is slated to play Bonnaroo this month in Tennessee.

"From start to finish the band has delivered one of the most solid debut records of the year." ~Bruce Warren
