José James Challenges Himself With New Album "No Beginning, No End"

June 13, 2013 - José James is originally from Minneapolis and began chasing his jazz vocalist muse at a young age.

He went to New York. He went to London. He went to The New School to study jazz vocals. He was always interested in a musical place where jazz, R&B, hip-hop, drum n bass and much more all come together. On his new album for Blue Note "No Beginning, No End" he has succeeded in finding it. James has a stellar band and they join us live today. Plus we’ll talk about how you can educate yourself by finding hip-hop samples, the greatness of Marvin Gaye arranger Leon Ware and about why he made a quiet album.
