The National

June 12, 2013 - The National join host David Dye in the studio. Though they have put out several discs since they got together 12 years ago, The National really made headlines for their last two albums 2007’s The Boxer and 2010’s High Violet.
Their new record Trouble Will Find Me already seems to be following a similar path. The group penned songs with incredible depth of feeling for their new disc. Singer Matt Berninger explains how his relationship with his daughter influenced the writing, and guitarist Bryce Dessner talks about how having a newborn impacted his work on the record. Plus Parquet Courts. The punky Brooklyn based band recently put out their official debut, Light Up Gold. They discuss the humorously named college club through which they met, Knights of the Round Turntable, and share a yet to be released new song.
