July 24, 2013 - Iron & Wine joins host David Dye in the studio. Sam Beam went from bedroom recording hobbyist to professional musician in 2002 when Sub Pop Records decided to release demos he had sent label head Jonathan Poneman.
Taking the name Iron & Wine, Beam found even more success with the disc that followed 2004’s Our Endless Numbered Days. For his new disc Ghost on Ghost he returns to working with Our Endless Numbered Days producer Brian Deck. In our interview today he looks back at those early records and talks about how his five daughters influence his songwriting now.
