Sharon Little
at World Cafe Live

Sharon Little join us for the Free at Noon show at World Cafe Live. A co-production of WXPN and NPR Music.

Sharon Little At the start of 2008, Sharon Little was waiting tables in Philly, and playing XPN Local shows in and around the region. Then, this remarkable talent was hired by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss as their opening act for their Raising Sand Tour, then featured as a "Breaking Artist" in Rolling Stone. The rest is history in the making. Sharon Little, and her collaborator, guitarist-singer Scot Sax have been winning standing ovations for their performances and recently took their collaboration to the small screen on "CSI: New York" portraying subway buskers. The episode airs January 14.

Little has released a new CD nationally, Perfect Time For A Breakdown, on CBS Records. On Breakdown she shows off a smoky, sultry vocal confidence and the album showcases blues-tinged material to match. A track on Breakdown, "Follow That Sound," was featured on XPN Local, Volume 2 CD and was then selected as the theme to the hit A&E series "The Cleaner".

Perfect Time For A Breakdown, is a brilliant album of heartfelt personal songs, and we are all thrilled to have them play XPN's Free At Noon concert on January 9.

Following her appearance on the World Cafe Live stage, Little will be taking her show back on the road supporting Jonny Lang.
