London Grammar

The Promise of London Grammar’s Music Fulfilled

June 9, 2014 - Our Vintage Cafe today with London Grammar takes us back to November 2013 and a visit with what was at that time a UK buzz band starting out in the U.S.. The band formed in 2009 and is composed of Hannah Reid on vocals, Dan Rothman on guitar, and multi-instrumentalist Dot Major. Hannah is another in a string of distinctive female voices and with her band mates there is an element of trip-hop in their work. Their debut EP Metal & Dust was released in February 2013 and their debut album If You Wait came out in September 2013. Since then things have gotten even better for the band . In April If You Wait charted as the 5th best-selling album so far in 2014. It seems like a good time to bring back London Grammar in our session that includes a cover of Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game.”
