On one level Low Cut Connie are far removed from folk music. Not an acoustic guitar in sight. But their straight ahead bar band sound plus Adam Weiner’s piano certainly is the next in line of the tradition of classic bar bands. Adam is from New Jersey. His guitar playing partner Dan Finnemore is from Birmingham in the UK. Some different sensibilities combined in this raucous joy that got the folk crowd on their feet and dancing.
