Oscar Isaac On Becoming Llewyn Davis

December 20, 2013 - His friends told the actor Oscar Isaac beforehand that he would love his audition with Joel and Ethan Coen for the lead part in their new film Inside Llewyn Davis –and that he wouldn’t get the part or ever hear back from them. Well, half right. The actor makes the character, based on the 1960s folk singer Dave Van Ronk, his own, especially with his live performances. He joins us today to talk about working with the Coens and with the film’s music guru T-Bone Burnett. And about the guitar he got for his efforts.
