London Grammar Artist To Watch - October 2013

UK trio London Grammar began in 2009 as the low-key pursuit of three students at the University of Nottingham. A few years and a couple EP releases down the line, and the eclectic electronic trio developed its sound into the gorgeous and sophisticated full-length record, If You Wait.
Featuring vocalist Hannah Reid, guitarist Dan Rothman and multi-instrumentalist Dot Major, the album is cinematic and ethereal, anchored by Reid’s powerful vocals. The band makes its Philadelphia debut on October 7th at Underground arts, and will appear on World Cafe with David Dye this fall.

"Like Portishead, The XX, and the more contemplative moments of Florence and the Machine, London Grammar have created one of the most understated beautiful debuts of the year." – Bruce Warren, Assistant General Manager of Programming for WXPN
