Moby

February 7, 2014 - This week on Conversations from the World Cafe, Moby joins host David Dye on the stage of World Cafe Live. Moby caught the attention of music fans in the early 90s only to have his 1996 album Animal Rights alienate many.

But he is now considered an electronic music trailblazer, thanks in part to bringing the genre to a much wider audience. His 1999 album Play became a surprise hit, selling over 10 million copies. That is a music industry feat, that in today’s environment, is unlikely to be repeated. Moby talks about the ups and downs of his career and gives an incredibly rare acoustic performance including material from his new disc Innocents. That’s this week on Conversations from the World Cafe!
