Milk Carton Kids

Sold Out Spring Tour For Milk Carton Kids As We Feature 2013 Cafe Appearance

May 5, 2014 - Today's Vintage Cafe is with Milk Carton Kids, the duo of Kenneth Pattengale and Joey Ryan. Looking back it seems the two made a wise choice in 2008 to join forces and to even give away their music for free. This interview originally ran in 2013 around the release of their third album, The Ash And Clay on Anti Records. In this interview they talk about their time together as a band and more so about the coming of age songs on The Ash and Clay, particularly a gorgeous song about Memphis, Tennessee. In the short time since this session originally ran good things have been happening for the Kids including T-Bone Burnett singing their praises in the concert documentary Another Place, Another Time. Their Spring tour of the U.S. is completely sold out through June 1.
